Iain Ballamy with NYOS Jazz Orchstra @ BBC Proms, The Royal Albert Hall

NYOS Jazz Orchestra (The National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland) will perform at The BBC Proms 2016 for the first time joined by Iain Ballamy and Liane Carroll for Prom 28, on Friday 5th August.

Iain will perform compositions including All Men Amen and Floater which have been arranged by Malcolm Edmonstone for the orchstra.

The wonderful pianist/vocalist Liane Carroll will also perform a series of arrangements by Malcolm Edmonstone, including songs made popular by Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Carole King and others.

The Orchestra will mark the Shakespeare anniversary with Duke Ellington’s jazz tribute to the Bard, Such Sweet Thunder which broke new ground in 1957 and still feels fresh today.
